About Julia Cook

Julia Cook was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. While living in Utah, she began teaching children how to ski. That experience led to a love of teaching in general. 

She has become one of America's most recognized authors of guidance storybooks for children.  Her 14 storybooks have become staples in elementary schools and homes throughout America, as they continue to thrill young students.

The goal behind Julia’s books is to actively involve young people into her fun and creative stories and teach them to become “better.”

Julia draws upon her rich experience as a practicing school counselor, and her presentations in over 500 schools cross the country. She also speaks at educator conferences throughout the country.

Julia now lives with her husband and three children in Fremont, Nebraska. She has a Master’s degree in Elementary School Counseling.

Julia serves on the board of Child Watch. In her spare time, she enjoys being with her husband and three children.
